Ok buddyz,,,almost all updating technocrats know that this is a burning topic right now. So You can expect a basic question from this topic when u hunt for jobs. Cloud computing doesn't have any take or give with physical clouds or rains. Only thing is that the tag "Cloud" came because almost all of us draw clouds to symbolize network.
What is Cloud Computing???
Simple,look...Suppose you are a CEO of a company..may be datz funny,,but take it as an example ;-). So being CEO means you should have employees but you dont have enough money to purchase licenced softwares and to install in each ones computer. So here the cloud computing comes, Only you need is a registration by paying a rental fee to a cloud computing service. Then you can have a single application installed in everyone's computer and via that application you can access a wide variety of softwares, applications and storage spaces using internet.
Example which you haven't noticed : If you are using gmail then you can open pdf documents on the fly even though you dont have an Acrobat or Adobe Reader installed in your system. Yea!!..thats a very small use of cloud computing..may be called as minor protorype version.(my contribution..nuthing real like that name :-P).
Now when we come to the pros and cons of cloud computing, the pic says it well
New ways of cloud computing is focusing on making it available to tablets smartphones etc so that any system dealing with low bandwidth can have the luxury of cloud services. Security breach, which is major concern in cloud computing is being a matter to eliminate as the sandboxing technology is getting improved.
Sandbox creates an isolated working environment in cloud computing with authorised entry restrciton so that it lessens the security breach. Usually sandbox technology was used by programmers when they wanted to share their programs and work in an isolated environment. Now this idea is being applied on Cloud Computing!! Amazon Elastic Beanstalk, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce.com and OrangeScape are some of the cloud services.
Suppose I want a computer of 1 terraflops for rendering an animation for about 2 hours.
ReplyDeleteor I want some large amount of bandwidth for some days.
or I want only a portion of a power a dedicated server gives.
There comes cloud computing. Cloud means Internet (Remember CCNA days?). We can take the computing power on demand, without having to buy extensive hardwares. This is all cloud computing means.
This applies to software too.
This is just a small portion of the cloud.
yea buddy ... that's what i meant too..jst told in simple wrdz and i have told..how does the word cloud came... nywys thnx 4 d feedback dude.. :)..expectng d same
