Ever Thought How You Enjoy A 3D Film??..
Welcome to the 3D world where even your short film can be delivered to an audience with a whomping 3D effects.
Have you ever thought how you are able to view the movie in 3D by just wearing a Goggles ??? :-/
Yesterday I was watching G.i.joe Retaliation 3D Movie in INOX multiplex theater with my buddies and we were stunned because of their awesome 3D effects integration through out the movie action sequences. So thought of how it works !!
These technical freaks discovered this technology by having a research right from our daily life. See, how we are able to see a 3D world around us...? ...how we are able to know your pc is at a distance from you?...you are at a safe distance from your dad while he is scolding..?.... All this is because of 2 inches between your eyes. Each eye of you take a perspective view of their own and give the image to the brain. Brain maps these 2 images of same scene and makes a depth based view.
We will find our answer to 3D technolgy of our own...let's have a small research !!
So,if our brain gets two images of a same movie scene then it can make a depth based view (3D view). But how we can do it?... In physics there is a property called Polarisation. We can make a polarised glass so that it can allow to pass only those waves which have a particular orientation of wavelength. So if our right eye has got a particular polarised glass and left eye has got another particular polarised glass then our brain will get two images. Here comes the role of Goggles with polarised glasses. So here we have to project two scenes of same image passed through two different polarised filters. That's why we see a double image on the screen when we remove the Goggles and watch on the screen with bare eyes.
This is commonly used technology in all theaters. While there are other technologies too..one of its is eclipse glasses where all the working is done by goggles. This LCD shutter glasses flickers and allows the respective images to be fed into respective eyes so that the viewer can have an illusion of 2 separate images. Here the goggle should be in sync with the theater screen which is done by connectivity.
This is all about 3D effects in Theater...Below image simply explains how the new 3D view enabled Tv Players work.

3D movies are the most amazing to watch when it comes to the super action and the innovation. I loved this 3D versions of the film that gives different experience all together.
ReplyDeleteyes..almost every one loves..yet there are a minor group saying that 3D movies take away the real essence of story behind the scenes...including Christopher Nolan :-/
