Stepping into Reader's World......

I still remember my friend's statement after we watched harry potter movie :

" This is not as much interesting as we find in harry potter books."

Me : " Are you mad?....we are trying very hard to get away from college books and you are encouraging in still sticking to book world !!! "

His reply was so convincing but it didn't had enough push on me in order to start reading habit.

" Yea...you won't understand until you read a book. Film is like picturing a directors and scriptwriters imagination into a rectangular frame for 2 hours. We are trying to enjoy their imagination. While in reading, we are into the world imagined by ourself and enjoying the new possibilities of imagination."

I wanted to ask , then reading is like building our own world on the floor written by a third person (writer). Yet, i dint ask as I know he will figure out some more arguments and push me to read and I don't want it to happen.

After 4 years, when i got job..circumstances made me to get away from day scholar life and started to share a flat with my room cum office buddies. One Sunday, I came across through a book "One Night at the Call Center" on our table. Till then I have heard a lot about the author Chetan Bhagat and his works "3 Mistakes of My Life"& "Five Point Someone". I have even gifted his latest work "Revolution 20 20" to one of my friends but I dint read even a single page of it. Very boring Sunday and no option to time pass urged me ..more than I have to say...my subconscious mind told me to take that and read.

I took the book..laid on bed...started to read it's preface.

Much better than my old social science books which had tiny tiny letters and have to put half an hour to go through a single page. He is very intelligent in not letting the reader to put more strain on reading. Letters are pretty big and prior to a scenario, each scene has been drawn clearly in my mind through his  explanatory words. Hardly 10 minutes...almost I'a getting near to complete the preface. I couldn't trust myself that am reading a book which has nothing to give and take with ma academics...

"ding dong....ding dong...." Door bell started to cry as if it is more irritated than me in reading.

My friend is here ...Yea !! now there is another option to pass the time. Of course, I will choose the latest one which have got more experience in my life than the " new getting familiarized habit".

Dunno where the book went, may be it's owner took back and kept it in bag. These book readers are much interested in preserving the books which they have read. What do they think?....Are books in endangered species list to get this much safety and concern. Even women or tiger doesn't get this much safety in this world.

After 6 years, now I'am stuck in a home where there is no internet as well as no free day time to have fun. After the office, me with ma roommates had chitchat in home and goes to sleep. This lazy routine made me angry and when I get angry, I eat !! .... One day, I was searching for some snacks on ma table and I found a book's backside. I was like " Ohh....I have seen somewhere this book...I know this colour " ... I tilted to read the front part of book and it was the same old one " One Night at the Call Center" . Ofcourse, past haunts present !! .... seems like this book is at correct place & at correct time now. No external disturbances....fed up of the lazy routine..... nice environment to get a new habit. Took it...laid on the bed...read the first line of preface.

I still remember the preface clearly and I went through it v.fast...looked on clock ... time is "6.30pm" . Nothing to do... Ok, will continue with this. Read....read...read......got a call from my friend " hey, come on.it's time to eat..let's go to hotel" ...

looking on clock me to myself : " What??.....8.30pm !! .... "

Found the interesting fact that ..I'am slowly finding  much interest in reading.....

It's been 3 days now...slowly I'am reaching to the last page of book and it's very interesting. Sometimes I open the e-book of the same and read it in office.... Yea !! I'am also a beginner now...stepping into Reader's World !!

Inner View of Corporate Life Style as a Fresher

Life from college life to a Corporate world was not so easy to digest even though initial 8 days were of exploring things, new stuffs, new culture and everything.

Even though there is a HR department for the care of emotions of employees, when there is an issue no one likes to see the inner view of emotions the employee goes through or the friendship that gets affected. Only they aim is to stick to rules and regulations and obey the orders. But of course, sometimes there are people n every department which comes as a life saver for each one when he/she is in a problem. The point of appearance of the life saver all depends on FATE which has been decided on the basis of your PAST ACTS!!!

People from different states and nations mingle each other and they create a very strong bond in short time. Suddenly on a  sun rise, they will be ordered to split and work in different locations. This is the basic thing I have found out something fishy in Corporate.

A coffee cum tea machine offered in each floor is one of those facilities offered for free. But, there is a inside logic behind this. Coffee contains caffeine which stimulates the working nature of brain. Tea ingredients also does the same. So in short  it catalysts the productivity of each employee which in turn improves the quality of human resource of the company on the working time. They only want us to take a cup of coffee/tea/milk/hot water and go back to the bay/cubicle and have a zip and solve the programmatic issue on which we are working. Fact that is stated was from a health care specialist( presented on

behalf of Venky's Health Care)  who told us about the long term side effects of in taking of continuous coffee/tea. It's better if you take Hot Water/ Skimmed Milk.

Next thing you are gonna face in Company is the Silent Competition. I would like to re quote a great man's statement -  "Silent Person has the Loudest Mind" . Of course, it proves here... Buddy who smiles at you will be the one who opts for a way without caring you. Each one has got his own race to reach at the top and increase the salary/allowances/grabbing the credits.

Regarding the relationships, it proves an article i read somewhere that the concept of co-working husband is getting spread among youngsters. It's not a true case for everyone yet it is true for a good proportion of workers. Always there is a cross gender friendship which can be a blessing at the times of real stressed environments in company. Taking the case of Gals/Ladies, they can't share their company issues to their husband or b.f outside the company in full fledged emotions as those guys are not at all aware of the happenings inside the company. So gradually they find out someone inside the company who can share their emotions at their own level and can find solutions/suggestions. Same thing happens to boys also. So cross gender friendship starts with the persons sitting near your bay and ends in sharing lunches. Fact has been stated by several popular articles and I have been seeing the live happening of this Fact.

Last but not the least , as all say disregard of hate, dislike, envy etc, we have to stick together and work as a team. Only then, "Success" comes in our hand. Mere team work doesn't pave the way for success. Smart work should also accompanied and Sometimes it works....as ma friend said " Hard work can Overtake Smart work" !!!

Ever Thought How You Enjoy A 3D Film??..

Welcome to the 3D world where even your short film can be delivered to an audience with a whomping 3D effects.

Have you ever thought how you are able to view the movie in 3D by just wearing a Goggles  ??? :-/

Yesterday I was watching G.i.joe Retaliation 3D Movie in INOX multiplex theater with my buddies and we were stunned because of their awesome 3D effects integration through out the movie action sequences. So thought of how it works !!

These technical freaks discovered this technology by having a research right from our daily life. See, how we are able to see a 3D world around us...? ...how we are able to know your pc is at a distance from you?...you are at a safe distance from your dad while he is scolding..?.... All this is because of 2 inches between your eyes. Each eye of you take a perspective view of their own and give the image to the brain. Brain maps these 2 images of same scene and makes a depth based view.

We will find our answer to 3D technolgy of our own...let's have a small research !!
So,if our brain gets two images of a same movie scene then it can make a depth based view (3D view). But how we can do it?... In physics there is a property called Polarisation. We can make a polarised glass so that it can allow to pass only those waves which have a particular orientation of wavelength. So if our right eye has got a particular polarised glass and left eye has got another particular polarised glass then our brain will get two images. Here comes the role of Goggles with polarised glasses. So here we have to project two scenes of same image passed through two different polarised filters. That's why we see a double image on the screen when we remove the Goggles and watch on the screen with bare eyes.

This is commonly used technology in all theaters. While there are other technologies too..one of its is eclipse glasses where all the working is done by goggles. This LCD shutter glasses flickers and allows the respective images to be fed into respective eyes so that the viewer can have an illusion of 2 separate images. Here the goggle should be in sync with the theater screen which is done by connectivity.

This is all about 3D effects in Theater...Below image simply explains how the new 3D view enabled Tv Players work.

MICROMAX Back With a BANG!! - Canvas A110 & A116 HD

"Don't go for Micromax ! Itz better to go for Samsung or Apple..ok, you can have Nokia too." This was my statement when my friend put forward his desire to buy Micromax Canvas 2  A110. The basic reason behind this kinda negative approach was because of my view on Micromax Mobile as a poor established mobile company as few years back, they had a flop attempt to have an impact through advertisements and all. But Nothing Remains The Same !! .... Soon I realized when he bought Micromax Canvas 2 A110. Was astonished of what they offering in 10,000RS stuff - Smartphone with Dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, PowerVR SGX531 GPU , 8 MP camera, front camera,512 RAM, 4 GB internal memory(2 GB usable), Expandable upto 32GB, IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors 480 x 854 pixels, 5.0 inches (~196 ppi pixel density).

So I realized, as a common non-tech savvy guy,,how much I was unaware of the promising growth of Micromax company. I was underneath the cataract of 4 years back failure story of a company which is  a trendy stuff in the current market scenario.

Started on 1991, but for so many years it was just a start up company only. Recent years, it emerged as a roaring lion in Indian market and then to Asian market. Apart from mobile technologies, Led televisions also comes under the focus area. 3rd largest manufacturer in India, 12th largest handset manufacturer in the world. In the tablet world, as per of 2012 criteria they crossed the line drawn by samsung and apple in Indian tablet market. This is the short Bio-data of our buddy.

A whooping valentines day offer was put forward by Micromax by introducing Canavas HD for Rs13,900. Whooping offer got a whooping sale too - 25 Units per minute, crossed 9000 units sale barrier within 24hours, They also got an introduction of Bolt A35 with a flasht transfer technique. This technique demands sharing of apps, games, music etc with just a swipe!!!

Micromax adcampaigns emphasize on the rivalry against the high stakes of mobile industry Samsung and Apple by taking the slogan "I can afford this Phone " and several other ads.Hopefully they wont get any legal action from these guys who are very well in law suiting !!

Anyways for the middle class people, who aims at luxury from reasonable cost..Micromax is a great boon for them and that's what the success recipe of this rapid growing Hulk is made of !! .ALL THE BEST :-)

Samosa Chatt Effect

Day before we had our first day in office, we went for a small walk ..just to know the new locality and the shops near by. We 3, Kiran, Ajay and me were walking on the road side. Each of us were giving a history summarization about the life in native place .

Kiran liked to have social activities and to encourage open source programming. He was saying about his college and he was proud to say that he had no bitterness in his college life. While hearing this Ajay laughed and he told about his family. He misses his parents, friends a lot. When the turn came to me, I just smiled and told had everything in college life..both good and bad. I know I'am an introvert in expressing my inner feelings if its sad. Some times, that kinda introvert behaviour is good so that everyone near you will feel a nice vibration from you. But that vibration sometimes don't work..very soon I realized.

As we were having this conversation in parallel to the evening walk, we came across a small shop serving "samosa chatt" (one of the main snackz in north india). Seeing that i shouted and forced Kiran and Ajay to have and gave my word..that they will like it. How can a person ignore a word of another person who are on the way of creating friendship??...the same happened there. They came with me and had samosa chatt. After eating they were like 50-50 about the deliciousness of the new dish.

After one hour we were back into the flat and our other roommates Gijo and Ajmal were already busy in the kitchen making food. But half of that food was sent to the trash !! ... because the after effect of SAMOSA CHATT started in Kiran's and Ajay's stomach. May be because they are not used to with this dish. They were so disturbed on that night because of the stomach upset. After that hectic night, next day welcomed us with a shining company on the top of a hill. We found out new batchmates for the training session and was waiting for the introduction part from the company HR side. HR just came into the training room and asked for self introduction. Kiran and ajay were starring me in a way that , they are gonna sue me for the last night. I just gave a mischevious smile to them. I had only that option :-D .

After all guys self introduction, she asked us about howz pune?..the question which these guys were waiting to hear. They told how much lucky are they to come into office with an upset stomach. Thanx to them, they dint mention my name..but as they were giving the overall view of the Chatt Effect, they were starring me as if they are very much desperate to say "He is the man...he is that idiot who made us to taste that dish and made us in this condition" .

Moral :- What is good for you wont be good for others !! This is a fact for thoughts, emotions, feelings, food..etc. Just a recreation of Albert Einsteins "Theory Of Relativity" in  a philosophical way. ;-)

Live from Pune .......

So, friends..itz around 3 months I logged into ma blog. These 3 months was full of turning points in my life...I got my first job, joined in Oracle..so for that I shifted to Pune. "National Roaming"...this is the description my buddy gave to me when he heard of my wandering life.

First day in pune started from a Monginis Coffee from pune railway station. Luckily Monginis made me to have a nice impression on pune which has already started to freeze me with itz 6 degree celsius climate. Climate change will be a very small descriptive for this place shifting because for me it was a drastic change...from a place where the climate ranges 28-32 degree celsius  to Pune where the temperature goes down below 5 degree celsius. Within 2 days, made our unfurnished 2bhk flat into furnished flat with 4 buddies from the same place to same company. By facebooking and through calls & messages we had a indirect friendship which helped us to get rid of the strange feeling that happens in between those people who wants to be buddys.

So itz Jan 14th, in the shivering frozen climate of 6 degree celsius, we landed on the front gate of Mighty Oracle Company where we are gonna establish our career as a fresher. Seems like, half journey of the life is over. Felt very proud to stand with my dad in  front of that superior infrastructure. Dad boarded train on the next day and for all of us, our first days in life away from our home started. First day in office was like a curious baby in a play store. We were blinked with the waterfalls infront of the office, the crazy coloured walls and access card restricted entry on each room. We all thought , thats it...we are gonna enjoy as CORPORATES !!.... but...seems like we are wrong..itz been 27 days in Pune - The Cultural City of Maharashtra...we are struggling to cope up with the food style...with the climate..with the office timings..with the language "Marathi"..... The only relief is some nice friends in our batch ... Ajinkya,Piyush, Sangham, Sushanth, Abhijeet, Umakanth, Aditya,Mohsain,Vishaal....who proved "Unity in Diversity". The most awesome stuffs happens in the training sessions with these crazy fellows....and after getting into flat...my mentioned roommates from my native place Gijo, Ajay, Kiran & Ajmal. These buddys are with me on 24 * 7 hours...helping each other...cracking stupid jokes....in flat as well as in room.

Within 2 days we learnt that we can't study Marathi language as easy as we expected. So we decided in other way around. We started to teach our language to them.. :-P . Now, after 27 days..

Our flat is a living example of the great thought " Itz not the religion that matters...itz the Humanity that matters". One is from Christian, Another is from Muslim, Others are Hindus....But it doesnt make any difference in between us. We share food, we share thoughts, we share fun, we share feelings.... That's what a Life is and I'am happy to have it. Only difficulty is that, now I'am realizing how Mom Loved me, how Dad cared me and how Sis teased me with love.

I have got to share some interesting stuffs and stupid things happened to me. Will be on air very soon.... :-). Till then take care ...Itz Live from Pune - Am an engineer.

My life saver - Ramanujan (Legend of Indian Mathematicians) ~ A way of expressing my gratitude on his 125th Birthday (Dec 22 2012)

A commemorative stamp of Srinivasa Ramanujan.

Life saver doesn't point only those who give blood and saved you, who gave medical attention and saved you or who gave money and uplifted you from poverty. For me, Life saver also means to someone who helped me to attain ma aim/goal/ambition. So in a way, I'am owed to our beloved mathematician Ramanujan in giving me a job offer in TCS. Hehe..I know...You will be thinking how the man who passed away on 26 April 1920 offer me a job in TCS or helped me to get that. The story starts....

11 November 2012 : Our college has invited students for it's TCS recruitment. As every other candidates, I was also afraid a little bit as it was my first experience as a fresher. I was directed to a panel consisting of 2 people- 1 Technical recruiter and 1 H.R recruiter. After the "good morning" wish and little bit self introduction, they asked me to introduce myself. I did it quite well as it's a sure question and was prepared for that. After that H.R guy entered into G.K round..his first question was to me " Do you know Ramanujan's number?" .... After a pause...smile came into ma face..i told "yes sir, every engineer should know that.. 1729" .. From his reaction I was sure that he is impressed. I thanked to my old 10th tuition sir..who used to tell story of great legends and encourage us a lot. Anil sir ( 10th tuition sir), he was one of those men who inspired me a lot and he even tells the story behind these things in an interesting way so that we are not bored. All those memories still linker in ma brain.

After that 1729 question, suddenly Technical Lady smiled and told to the H.R sir hearing my answer " oh, sir.. i didnt know that number being an engineer" !! At that moment I thanked Ramanujan personally...because it's him who broke that ice berg and made a funny environment. So now the starting problem is over... Next step is to impress them more.. I interfered their talk smoothly and told to the Technical Lady " Madam, there's an interesting story behind that...lemme explain" she replied "oh,,is it?..tell" ..By god's grace by short term memory went to a long term memory and was letting all those Anil sir's stories in a smooth flow : "One day Ramanujan was hospitalized and his friend came to see him..in between casual talks friend told him that the car by which he came had an ugly number "1729" . Listening to this Ramanujan replied within a fracion of a second he replied that "1729 is the smallest number which can be expressed in sum of cubes of two numbers in two different ways" "

In wikipedia, you will get a quote like this

The number 1729 is known as the Hardy–Ramanujan number after a famous anecdote of the British mathematician G. H. Hardy regarding a visit to the hospital to see Ramanujan. In Hardy's words:[91]
I remember once going to see him when he was ill at Putney. I had ridden in taxi cab number 1729 and remarked that the number seemed to me rather a dull one, and that I hoped it was not an unfavorable omen. "No," he replied, "it is a very interesting number; it is the smallest number expressible as the sum of two cubes in two different ways."
The two different ways are
1729 = 13 + 123 = 93 + 103.
Generalizations of this idea have created the notion of "taxicab numbers". Coincidentally, 1729 is also a Carmichael number.

So, hearing my description H.R guy gave a shake hand and then from that moment he talked very friend to me. That lady was also so happy . May she was missing stories after childhood. Lolz.

Today, it's Ramanujan's 125th Birthday and I express my gratitude towards him for being a life saver to achieve my aim of being an engineer in I.T field. He is of-course a legend in India as well as in Mathematics Science because all he had is a 32 year life span and the contribution he made in this very small duration is something worth-while valuable discoveries which is still being the basic ideas for the innovative explorations in modern science.
